On my way back from Bali to Wellington, I had a 10 hour stop over in Sydney, Australia. Little did I know, that a visa is required for any stay in Australia longer then 8 hours and that you need to apply in advance… For some reason I looked it up 3 day prior to my flight back to NZ. I applied and luckily the visa was granted 2 hours before I left Bali.
I got to see Sydney for a few sunny hours. I took the train into the city and spend my time in and around the harbor. I climbed the harbor bridge – not the actual bridge but on of the towers. Great view from up there. I had a lunch break in the sun at the water, checked out the famous opera house (I didn’t know the roof was entirely tiled oO) and I wondered through the botanical garden and a little through the City, before I jumped back on my train to the airport.
