Sunday is market time. After we got our stash of fruits an vegetables for the week, Mary and I met up with Reece and Roderick to check out the Makara loop track. It is a 6 km loop that starts and ends at Makara Beach.
The walk goes up through farm land and every once in a while you will catch some skittish sheep starring at you. There are several tracks to take, but we decided to do the loop. It goes along high cliffs with spectacular views, hits the coast and then leads all the way back on the pebble beach. It makes me want to come back in the summer and go for a swim after the hike.
