It was time to see a little more of New Zealand, as we spent most of last month in the Wellington City area, looking for a place and getting settled. There are lots of little get aways you can do around Wellington and for this weekend we went camping at Cape Palliser.
Why Cape Palliser? For starters, there is a cool lighthouse plus one of the biggest furry seal colonies in New Zealand. Then free camping in Ngawi and the Putangirua Pinnacles are close by too. Exactly, also know as the White Mountains, where Aragorn, Gimli Legolas met the Army of the Dead. On Saturday, we met the seals, went to the light house and camped for free right at the ocean.
The next day, we hiked the pinnacles track looking for some Dead Men of Dunharrow, before we drove back to Wellington. Check out the map at the bottom of this post, to see all the places we stopped on this trip.
